A very special sheep dog - meet rescue Staffie, Anne

One determined resident of Bristol Cats and Dogs Home has been making it her mission to visit all our Shauns – meet Anne, a three year old Staffordshire bull terrier cross!

Anne has been at the Home for eight months, making her the current longest stay resident. She has been visiting as many of our Shauns as possible, finding 62 to date, with the RSPCA Bristol team sharing her journey on social media using the hashtag #OutAnneAbout in the hope of finding her a new home.

Working with The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, we arranged for Anne to make a special visit to the shopping centre on Wednesday and meet the three sculptures inside. The Galleries, Broadwalk Shopping Centre, Cabot Circus, St Werburgh’s City Farm and the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery have also agreed to allow Anne inside to complete the trail.

Jodie Hayward, Bristol Dogs and Cats Home manager, says, “Anne is a fantastic dog, and we are amazed that she is yet to find a loving home. We saw how much excitement there was about the Shaun in the City sculptures appearing across the city, and thought they could be a great way to help Anne find a forever home!”

Our trail is raising funds for sick children and babies at Bristol Children’s Hospital, and if it also helps to find a new home for a lovely dog like Anne, we will be very pleased!
